Printer stays offline when printing pdfs

HP Recommended
HP OfficeJet Pro 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer gives the offline error when I try to print pdfs over the wifi connection (not wifi direct). I already changed the pdf software to Adobe Reader DC to be able to print pdfs with 64-bit system. Now the problem is that if I first try to print pdf, it gives me the offline error, but if I print Word, Excel or anything else first, printer works fine and even prints pdf-files after that. Is this happening to somebody else too? Do I always have to print something first or is there a permanent fix?

@Tiiia, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

This seems like an issue with the Adobe application as the printer is able to print other files fine.

Update of reinstall the Adobe reader app.

Alternatively, try printing the PDF file as an image as shown in this document and check if that helps.

If the issue persists, contact the Adobe support for assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
