Printer stops printing half way through

Deskjet 3762
Android 9.0 Pie

Hi, I got the Deskjet 3762 given to me from my mum, she purchased it new (not sure if that makes a difference??). I have plugged it in and linked it to my android phone (Huawei p20 lite) and attempted to print a full page document via the WiFi printing. It printed half way then it stopped and reeled the page out half completed. I tested it with a smaller image on an A4 piece of paper and it did the same. As far as I'm aware the WiFi link didn't drop out. How can I fix this please? Thanks in advance.

@Beth1324, Welcome to HP Support Community!

To be able to assist you better, I would like to know the following:

  • What happens when you make photocopies on the printer?
  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Are you using the HP Smart App to print, if no. I'd suggest you configure the printer using HP Smart App, refer to the document HP Printers - Install and Use the HP Smart App for help.

Also, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
