Printer won't connect to HP Instant Ink

HP Office Jet Pro 6968
macOS 10.12 Sierra

Both my laptop and printer are connected to the same wifi with "excellent" service; however, when I am logged into, it won't connect to my printer. I have hit refresh an exuberant amount of times, but it still won't connect. This is causing a problem because if my printer doesn't hook to the website then it won't track how many pages I have printed, and it will cease to print. My printer is popping up an error message that if I don't resolve the problem soon then I will no longer be able to print.
