Printer won't connect

HP Recommended
HP DeskJet 3636
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am currently at university,  and have struggled to connect my printer to the network (it is a wireless HP DeskJet 3636). The university network does not allow any devices other than mobiles and laptops to connect to it, which is why i have connected the printer through the USB cable. It works for about a week or two, and then just stops working, showing an error on the laptop and with a yellow flashing infomation light on the priter. When i ran the print and scan doctor it says there is a problem with the print queue but is unable to fix it. I don't know what more i can do to make it work, especially at such a critical time where my printer is so vital. Any help is greatly appreciated.
