Hi @Migmigmig

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Are you trying to connect the printer to a wireless router?

If yes, you will have to use the password for your wireless network. Refer to this document to know how to find the wireless password.

If you do not have a wireless router or if you are using the wifi-direct to connect the printer and the iOS device, the default password is 12345678

You may press the wireless button and the 'i' button to print a Network configuration report to verify the printer's network name and the password.

Refer to this document for more info on wifi-direct.

If you are still finding it difficult to connect the printer and the iOS device, refer to this document to use the WPS method.

  • Make sure the printer and the iOS device are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the iOS device should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
