Printing by WIFI
01-28-2020 09:57 AM

I have a deskjet WIFI printer (HP2630) connected via my homenetwork. security WPA2-PSK. No problems untill yesterday. My printer was starting printing some documents, and I did not give an order to print. Looking at these documents I saw it was form my neighbour, three blocks away!
Does anyone know how this is possible and what can I do ..... Its only me, in my neighbourhood how want to print;-) Or is this a problem/bud in the HP-cloud??

Were this a problem in the cloud servers, there would be a blowup on the nation's social media.
I suspect this is a problem in your network security, either on the printer or elsewhere closer to home.
Where? For example...
Neighbor has your wireless password, and / or the password is not mandatory / required / used for some reason.
The fix could be to change your wireless network password.
Unwanted Flyers or Ads on the Printer

- ➡️ Minimum Security Settings for Printers
More likely due to the distance (home wireless does not typically span a three block area):
Wireless printing is not secured - the neighbor might be using a mobile device (and be closer than three blocks away).
If your printer is connected to the Internet (Web Services) it is possible the neighbor is printing to your printer's email address. Printer email address (ePrint) can (should) be secured: Create an allowed senders list as opposed to allowing "anyone" to print to the printer email.
