Hello, I’m having issues with the printout of my deskjet 3700 all in one printer. Not sure how to describe it but the print is cutoff. For example, the very bottom where the page number is printed, is not showing. The print appears to be zoomed in. I’ve attached photos. My only access to my printer is through my iPhone and I am using the HP Smart app.

Thank for your time.

Thanks for your help.

@robertcc79, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Follow the steps below-

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Check for iOS updates if any.

Also, remove and add the HP Smart App on your iOS device.

If the issue persists, try using the AirPrint feature to print from. Use the document HP Printers - Printing from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch for help.

Keep me posted.

Hello TEJ1602,

Sorry for my late reply. I am unable to connect my printer to a PC to check for updates. However, my printer recently did an automatic update.... I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP Smart app.

I only use this printer with my iPhone to print email attachments like PDF documents. This is when I experience the cutoff. When I use the HP Smart app to print, I do see an option to “fit to page” and that printout is perfect. If I print as “original size” that is when it is cutoff. I hope I am making sense...

I would like to know if there is a setting I can change for make everything “fit to page” when I am printing a document using Air Print?

Thank you for your help.

@robertcc79

Let's try updating printer firmware and iOS devices, you may use the links below to updating printer firmware and iOS devices:

Update printer firmware

Update iOS

Airprint feature has limitations and there is no setting to fit to page. Refer to the document HP Printers - Printing from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch for help.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

If there is not a setting I can change for AirPrint then there’s not much else I can do. I will try to remember to use HP Smart app when printing.

Thanks for your time.
