Anyone know why my android phone tells me 'This printer is not available just now'. Everything is connected properly to the home wi-fi. My phone sees the printer and I can print if I use the HP Smart App, but not directly from email or any other app. Problem appeared about a month ago.

Hi @DenisN

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • Make sure the printer and the phone are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the phone should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

If you are able to print from the HP Smart app, it means the devices are connected and the printer is working fine.

 

Check for any pending updates on the phone and restart it. Try printing.
