The connection needed by Instant Ink not the same as the Wireless connection you use to connect your devices (including the printer) to your network.

Printer needs to be running Web Services.

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Web Services > Web Services Settings > Summary

If web services won't "enable" in EWS, try enabling the Web Services button on the printer.

What if?

If web services will not enable / start on the printer, you'll have to wait.

Sometimes Web Services collapses into a heap.

The only fix from "our" side is to wait until the service recovers.
