Product: HP Office Jet Pro 6978

I have had an HP Office Jet Pro for a few years. I tried to log into ePrint, but had forgotten my password. I created a new password, now the login says my email is already in use, choose a new one! How do I make it understand that it is my email. I’m not changing it!

Welcome to HP support community.

 

Restore the printer to the original factory defaults

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

5. Touch Continue.

 

You can then setup the ePrint on the printer.
