Unwanted alignment marks down right hand edge of print 11mm spacings

HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m
iOS

Hello, I'm struggling to work out what on earth is happening when trying to print out from Procreate on iPad Pro using the HP Smart app for iOS. Whenever I send an image to the printer (HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m) there are unwanted alignment marks down right hand edge of printout with 11mm spacings (see image). Has anyone else experienced this before? It happens from all trays and paper sizes, I have gone through the usual head alignment and cleaning procedures. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else to check?, any support much appreciated.

Hi @dt2004

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • Have you tried printing different types of documents to check if the issue persists?
  • Try making a standalone copy and check if the issue persists. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Print a print quality diagnostic report

  1. On the control panel Home Screen, touch the right arrow to view more options.

  2. Touch Setup.

  3. Touch Tools.

  4. Touch Printer Quality Report. Check for the lines.

If the lines exist on copies and test reports, this could be a possible hardware issue.

For more info on resolving print quality issues, kindly refer to this document.
