Won't be using my Office Jet Pro 6970 on a network, just to print from my Mac directly.

I just purchased an Office Jet Pro 6970 and I will only be using it to print directly from my Mac. I won't be connecting it to a network. What cord do I need to connect my Mac to the printer

 You would need a printer usb cable to connect between the mac and the printer.
