HP Recommended

I am trying to connect my Mac book pro to the same printer my HP laptop is connected to.  When I tried, the MacBook says the printer is “idle”.  Any help would be appreciated.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'd like to know the following-

 

May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

What is the Operating System installed on your Mac computer?

 

And with regards to connecting the mac computer to the same printer as your HP laptop, you can do it and there is no problem in doing so.

 

Keep me posted for further assistance.
