I have an Officejet Pro 8710. My SSID has changed and I am trying to configure my printer to connect to my wireless network. When I try to configure with the Wireless Setup Wizard I get the following message: The feature has been locked by the person who set up the printer - I have no memory of locking this option. Even if I did set this up, there is no option to enter a password or PIN to unlock the feature. I can only choose the 'OK' option.

@angus0490, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

We will have to perform a factory reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
