LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw
iOS

Hi all,

Just purchased (in 2020) a brand new Laser Jet Pro M479fdw.   The printer is connected to WiFi (confirmed by the printer), but when trying to “AirPrint,” the printer is not found.  If I switch to the printer’s WiFi, I can print a email/document from my iPhone (but again, not as “AirPrint”).   Extremely frustrating for a brand new $450 printer.

Any wizards out there that can help?  I have tried (seemingly) all the HP “solutions” posted online, but to no avail.

Many thanks.

Thanks for the fast reply B-Will.   I already installed the HP Smart app, and while I can print using the app as long as I am connected to the printer’s WiFi network, the hope is to just print a document on my phone using my home network without having to switch to the printer’s own network.  I could do that with my old HP printer (four years old), but not this new (fancy) one — at least yet.
