laptop surface pro3 on conecting to printer

Hi

My laptop finds the printer but will not connect over the network. I have tried the various methods in the troubleshooting recommendation, uninstall re-install.

I have checked the firewall settings

The printer shows on wi-fi as open but it will not install the wi-fi program.

I have checked that both are on the same network and address.

The printer works from my iPhone on the wireless connection but not on the Surface Pro 3

It has been working but then just stopped not sure if it could have been caused by a resent windows update or the file got corrupted.

Any help would be appreciated.

My solution was to open services and delete all files in the folder 

wi- fi printing perfect 

hope this is of help
