@sjbush1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

To assist you better, I'd like to know the following:

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
  • How is the printer connected to the MAC? Check the connectivity.

For now, let us try these steps:

Update the printer firmware

Go to Setup > Web services > Update the printer

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

Click the Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Printers & Scanners. Select the printer in the list, then click Open Print Queue, delete all the pending print jobs.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Click the “Kudos, Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

Have a great day!
