I think My HP Photosmart 5520 has finally given up. I disconnected it from my mac and deleted it on the mac before reconnecting. It recognises my mac and looks like its printing but nothing is on the page apart from some very faint lines. I think as its now quite old - could be as much as 15 years, its time to buy a new one.

Will my mac which is also 10 years old,  but still going, recognise a modern HP? I don't use the computer for anything particularly sophisticated, just print letters and reports for my volunteer work and the occasional scanned doc. I am thinking of getting a HP Smart Tank 5105.

Your views would be appreciated.
