printer's email address changed, i can't change it back

Somehow my printer's email address changed, and I can't change it back to the original email address. When I try, it tells me that the email address is already taken. How can I reclaim my original email address?

Two Caveats:

I could be wrong about your particular situation.

I don't work for HP.

Discussion:

  • I'm not sure you can get back your original address.
  • The service is incredibly fussy about the manner in which you can "reuse" an address.
  • WHY you need to go back - for example, the address changed out from under you - does not appear to have any impact on the outcome.
  • I have been caught (for various reasons) more than once - I am now using a variance of my original ePrint email address that includes the number "3" tagged onto the name to make it different enough that the service accepts it.

Example

Original Address:  DragonFur @ hpeprint.com

Current Address:  DragonFur3 @ hpeprint.com
