printer won't print

I was until recently a member of HP instant ink, but having received a tri colour cartridge that did not work with my computer, and then being unable to receive help on this matter, I cancelled my plan and bought a tri colour cartridge from the supermarket. But the new cartridge will not work either and it is still telling me to contact instant ink. I now have a useless printer and am wishing I never signed up for the instant ink programme at all!

 

My printer is the HP Envy photo 7134
