HP Deskjet 450
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have Window 10 on relative new computer and really frustrated how I cant print to my HP Deskjet 450. "Error Print" would always come up so I went searching for solutions and used  Hp Scan Doctor, where it highlighted Port issue. I went searching again and found where to go to configure my usb port connection under printer properties. For USB connection I learned in my research that the ports can be named USB or Dot 4. I have a Dot 4 but when I press configure I get following message..."An error occurred during port configuration. This operation is not supported". So I went researching that to find steps about powering off from wall etc, but no good. Will appreciate any help.

@keeppositive, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print from your PC. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Uninstall the HP Drivers for the printer from the PC by going to the Control panel.

Install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Refer to this document to know how. Try printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
