HP Notebook - 17-x010ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Here is the link of specification of my HP laptop HP Notebook - 17-x010cahttps://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c05187517

Based on specification it has combo audio jack:

External ports
1 USB 3.0; 2 USB 2.0; 1 HDMI; 1 RJ-45; 1 headphone/microphone combo

However, when a microphone is connected to 3.5 mm jack, microphone (Line in or Audio in) is not working. It works for only headphone (Audio out). it doesn't display a 'Realtek HD Audio Manager pop-up' when a headphone or a microphone is connected to select 'Line in' or 'headphone' etc.

Realtek Drive version is 6.0.1.7750.

Any response to resolve this audio (microphone / Line-in) issue would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for a quick response. You are right, this laptop doesn't accept standalone microphone jack, I tried with headphone with  TRRS jack, then I was able to use its mic. The following setting was display once TRRS jack was connected. When I connect standalone mic, it indicates 'Not plugged in'

Thanks again.
