Hi @ENGFAISAL,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here's how you can address this issue.

Uninstall and Reinstall the Conexant HD Audio Driver:

Uninstall the Current Driver:

  1. Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
  2. Expand the "Sound, video, and game controllers" section.
  3. Right-click on "Conexant HD Audio" and choose "Uninstall device."
  4. If prompted, check the box to delete the driver software for this device.
  5. Restart your computer.

Reinstall the Driver:

  1. Visit the HP Support page.
  2. Enter your laptop's model number in the search bar.
  3. Select "Drivers & Software."
  4. Choose Windows 11 as your operating system.
  5. Scroll down to the "Driver-Audio" section and download the latest Conexant audio driver available.
  6. Install the downloaded driver and restart your computer.

Use Windows Troubleshooter:

Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can sometimes resolve audio issues:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  2. Find "Playing Audio" and click "Run."
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to identify and fix problems.

Check for Windows Updates:

Ensure your system is up-to-date, as updates can contain fixes for hardware compatibility issues:

  1. Go to Settings > Windows Update.
  2. Click "Check for updates."
  3. Install any available updates and restart your computer.

Use an Older Compatible Conexant Driver:

If the latest driver doesn't resolve the issue, consider installing an older version:

  1. In Device Manager, right-click on "Conexant HD Audio" and select "Properties."
  2. Go to the "Driver" tab and click "Roll Back Driver" if available.
  3. If the option isn't available, you can download an older driver version from the HP Support page by selecting a previous version from the list.
  4. Install the older driver and restart your computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
