HP Omen 15-dc0004nq
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there!

I have some troubles with my new laptop HP Omen 15-dc0004nq.

When any sound is played, a crunch is heard in the left speaker when connected to the headphone jack (or my headphones, or my hi-fi amplifier). I recorded my recorder by line-in from the headphone jack, the problem can be heard

The audio-jack connector is not damaged, the wires are not damaged. Updating drivers did not solve the problem. Audio does not work normally. I checked my type-c to audio adapter and sound doesn't work that way.

My laptop still has 6-month warranty but my location is Moldova.

What can I do at this case???

Best regards!!!

Please do a clean install Audio softeware/driver, this should help.

(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,

   https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp92501-93000/sp92517.exe

(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.

Regards.

Hi!

I followed all these steps and faced other problems.

Yes, the crunch in left channel is disappeared, but the sound is changed as if an equalizer was applied (the sound properties indicate that no sound enhancements have been applied.) and the built-in microphone and external microphone connected to the microphone connector stopped working.

Also, I still haven't solved the problem with the webcam, which is visible as a device with installed driver in the device manager, but does not work either in browsers or in Skype. In Downloads I did not find any webcam driver for my laptop.

Thx for reply and Kind Regards!!!
