Audio Issues on the Laptop

My audio is glitching out. I only got this laptop a few months ago or so. The audio works fine when a sound starts for the first five seconds, but after that it goes quiet, forcing me to turn up the volume to max so I can hear it. I restarted my computer and made sure that my audio was playing out of the default speakers. The troubleshooter also did not detect anything. Help?
