HP high performance lap top AMD A6 Quad Core
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

We run a syndicated radio program, music intensive.

The audio on playback sounds good through speakers but when recording with this laptop the sound is tinny and with little bass. Speakers check fine on play back alone.

We are using Radio DJ with Audacity recording software. The mix once recorded fine from laptop until recently when something changed and the recording now sounds tinny. I updated my sound cards via HP site, as well as updated all the above mentioned software, but it's still happening. We also tested the sound by running it from the laptop through our sound board to audacity --still tinny. Then we tested Audacity itself with Desk top only and the recording is fine. It just doesn't record well from the laptop--but it used to! Where to find the solution now? HELP. What's the next step?

Thanks

T
