Audio driver couldn't install because of "incompatible windows version".

Pavilion 15-DK0051WM
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It has been a while since I had noticed that once I had to turn up the volume just to hear it fine, when in the past it should've been blaring at 100. I had tried to download and install the latest audio driver from here and it couldn't let me install because of "incompatible windows version". I am wondering what is going on and should I update from the audio manufacturer's drivers instead?
