Hi,
This morning my sound was working fine, but a few hours ago it stopped working. I tried using headphones but that won't make any difference. If I try to open the soundsettings there is no device found, so I can't even change any settings, even though my laptop has built in speakers. In the Device manager there is only a driver called NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) but there used to be 2 more (if I recall correctly they were Realtek drivers). Will re-installing the drivers solve the problem and how do I know what drivers to install/how to install them?
Thanks,
Annemarie

Please download and install the following Audio software
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp97001-97500/sp97110.exe
Hope this helps.
Regards.

Hi,
Sorry for the wait. When I opened my laptop Thursday evening the problem had seemed to resolve itself, the audio was working once again and when I shut the laptop down it did so fairly quickly, which wasn't the case before when the audio wasn't working, it took ages before the laptop was shut down. Anyways, it kept working great until now, just a few minutes ago the exact same problem has returned. I tried opening the link you send but I get the 404 Not Found error, is it the right link? Thank you for your reply.
