Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Sound will instantly drop to zero and stay muted.  When I turn the volume up it will drop again.  This happens on Windows 10 v2004 and v1909 after I reinstalled windows multiple time and the issue is still persistent.  Removed audio (Realtek) and install via Windows update and also tried to use the HPe Assistant and the issue still persists.

Any suggestions, not sure where to go from here.

Please do a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.

(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
                 https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp103501-104000/sp103860.exe
(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.

Regards.

Unfortunately this did not work.  After following the steps and doing the clean install the volume still drops to zero and instantly mutes.
