Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. I am trying to help my father after he reinstalled his Windows. Everything came out fine, except that his laptop has lost all sound. The OS language is in Norwegian, but it says something like ''No audio device installed'' when hovering over the speaker symbol. If I click on it, it starts troubleshooting which does not help us at all. When I look up his serial number on the HP driver page, I find many drivers except for anything audio-related.

If anyone has any tips for us on what to do that would be very appreciated

As you can see, no audio driver for Windows 10 on the list. It was a huge problem with that device under Windows 10 (you can Google for it). Now please download and install the above driver on my previous reply.

Regards.

Did you upgrade your father's machine from Windows 8, 8.1 or 7 ? Please try the following driver first

Thank you for the reply, sorry if I made my question a bit unclear. My father reinstalled Windows 10 because he thought the laptop was getting slow, so the laptop had Windows 10 before.
