HP Recommended

I have installed Ubuntu 23.10 on my laptop, it's an HP 14-dk0011ns.

Audio through the headphones sounds fine, but then the speakers sound terrible, like an extremely cheap pair of speakers and I know for a fact it sounds fine on Windows. I've tried many distros through Live USB and the issue seems to be Linux-only.

Anyway, the codec it's using appears to be ALC236 and the driver is snd-hda-intel. I have no idea where to begin troubleshooting, any help please?
