There's another thread about the same problem, with a fix that has helped a lot of people already. This seem to be a very common problem, and HP needs to adress it in a better way than to refer to std methods - we have already tried them! Please have a look at the thread "My speakers have gone very quiet...." submitted by Adaml500, and the fix that Wittledemon applies. The fix works and you should direct everyone to it from now on, or find the root cause and deal with it.

Thank you SO MUCH!!! 

 

A proper reply rather than basic driver updates.

 

There is an AMD Update called Adrenalin 2020 and this has also installed fixing the sound!!
