HP 14" Chromebook
Chrome OS

14-db0000 Series

The Chromebook is brand new and never been used before. I cannot plug in my usual headphones as they won't go in all the way but only partway. There doesn't seem to be any obstruction, do I need different headphones?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to plug the headphones into the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Have you tried a different pair of headphones?

What is the product number of your computer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you force the headphones a little bit and check whether they fit. Usually, when the ports are new it will be a little hard to insert the headphones.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

I have tried different sets of headphones and if i force the jack in any further it will break the computer. I have rang up HP Customer Services and they have no idea what is wrong, and as we are in lockdown I am unable to take it back to Currys PC world to see if they can fix it in store.

I recommend you contact support again and check the available service options for your computer.
