I have an HP Spectre and when I use chrome to cast to my chromecast on the TV the audio goes all chopping but only when chrome on my computer is not the main thing on my screen. If I leave chrome open and then put a smaller window over top it so it is not covering the whole screen then it works. There is no updates for anything, I have factory reset the chrome cast, switched HDMI ports, contacted google and they said it was fine because it works from my phone. What is going on is there a setting or something I am missing?

You need Chrome open, that is the first requirement:
