I bought a HP Envy laptop but it had loud coil whine.

Had it replaced but the new one has the same problem.

Is this issue normal or should I just return this product and get another model?

The product is still in replacement warranty till 9 November 2020

I reviewed your post and I understand that you hear a coil whine from the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

As you have mentioned that you were getting the same noise from the other laptop as well, which confirms it is normal. However, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp110001-110500/sp110272.exe

Intel: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp103501-104000/sp103886.exe

Nvidia: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105913.exe

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
