Elitebook X360 1030 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

I've got my notebook (Elitebook x360 1030 G3) since June and everything was going well until one day where I completely lost all audio. I suspect Windows Update as usual but I'm not sure, so I'd like your advice.

I did the usual things:

- reboot

- update drivers

- update Windows

- use troubleshooter: "audio services not responding"

- restarted all audio services in Windows

- use HP assistant to update everything else

- hard reset the battery

- looked for viruses, tried with speakers, headphones, etc ...

- the audio icon in the task bar has no sign of failure, no red cross, nothing. Same for the Device manager drivers, no downward arrow, all looks perfect ...

- One update did fail in the HP Assistant though: the Conexant driver update, see my screenshot below:

Conexant installation failed.jpg

At this point I am not sure if this is a hardware failure or simply an incompatibility between the latest Win10 build and Conexant drivers.

If anyone can help ?
