Hi all
This is the weirdest thing I've seen. Did a new install of the OS (totally disk re-partition), installed the ISO using the MS ISO->USB tool, and the sound is cracking endlessly. Used the HP Support Assistance to install all important and recommended updates and nothing changed it. Used all possible tricks including registry tweaks to take off any possibility of CPU throttling or battery management - nothing solves it. even disabled page file.
Latrncymon tells me I have issues with my system.
One last important point that might show it is a problem with the driver rather than anything else - I can only select 16bit 44Khz and 24bit 48KHz.
I know it is wrong because this darn system which run as slow as a mule thank to the HP bloatware did only one thing good which was I didn't had this cracking sound.
Tried to roll back to previous drivers - nothing helps.
Anyone has any idea how to solve this?
Thanks!!!

Please download and install

Hi BH.
Thank you for your reply. I have the same driver.
Can you confirm that your installation allows you to only select two type of default format (as I mention above)?
It's pretty weird - just to assure that F2 diagnostics finds no problem, and booting the system from Linux shows zero issues with sound. This is pretty bad and the first time I see such crazy problem.
PS
Tried to play with the exclusive mode and it didn't help at all. also disable all sound effects. no help.
Again - worked well with the HP recovery (which now I don't have anymore) , but "plain vanilla" Windows 10 from MS site is a mess.
