Cracling sound from laptop

HP Recommended
HP Envy x360

I hear a crackling sound everytime I turn on laptop. The sound is continous when I am playing audio and only stops when I press the keyboard mute button. If I open browsers and other programmes (without playing audio) the sound starts and then stops but comes back when these programmes become very active.  If I connect headsets the sound is not heard in the earphones but its is heard from the macine. Help?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps -

3) Press F10 once for BIOS.
4) Press F9 for BIOS defaults.
5) Press F10 to save and exit.

Also, try updating the computer -

Step 1 Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Step 2 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.

Step 3 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
2) Check for updates.
