Omen 15-dc0003la
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello I have an Omen 15-dc0003la which I saw in the specs sheet that is DTS Headphone:x compatible, I just bought the HP Omen 800 headset which are also DTS Headphone:x compatible but I don't see the option to enable it.

I only see a DTS Sound Unbound app, but I only see the option to Test IT or buy it, If I use the test it option it enables it and I can see it over the Sound Controls but it's just a demo for certain time.

Am I missing something? How does this work?

@Mperezra
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

DTS Headphone:X is a technology that optimizes the listening experience based on music genre, the headphones selected and the end user’s unique listening profile.

● Supports 5.1 & 7.1 Channel with virtual surround sound with stereo headphones
● Supports optimized headsets/ internal speakers
● Supports 5.1 & 7.1 multi-channel content
● Only HP: X postprocessor

Have you tried launching DTS Headphone:X? If no, click here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/p/dts-sound-unbound/9pj0nkl8mcsj?activetab=pivot:overviewtab to download DTS Sound Unbound.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello,

As I mentioned in my post, I do have the DTS Sound Unbound app however I don't see any options but to purchase DTS plugin or to try a demo,  I saw my same HP Omen on display in a store and in the sound options it had the DTS Headphone:X  available to be selected, mine doesn't also I thought maybe the Omen 800 headphones may provide some instructions but they didn't

If you open de OMEN AUDIO CONTROL app and go to the output tab with headphones plugged in, or plug them in after,

the window should switch to DTS Headphone:x in the app itself.

Make sure you have the latest Realtek drivers installed.

It should something like this:

DTS Headphone:xDTS Headphone:x

Hi I have the latest Realtek drivers and my app is called HP AUDIO CONTROL not OMEN AUDIO CONTROL (I don't know if that's important) that HP AUDIO CONTROL looks similar but I don't have the DTS Headphone logo
