Displayport HDCP/Audio

Elitebook 8440p
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This machine has an NVidia NVS 3100M with a displayport output.

When using a displayport to HDMI adaptor feeding an HDCP compliant monitor, the Nvidia control panel tells me that the setup is not HDCP compliant.

In addition, when I select the monitor for HDMI audio in the Nvidia control panel, it does not appear as a windows playback selection.

All the latest drivers for the card (including Nvidia High Definition audio) are installed correctly.

The displayport to HDMI adaptor works fine with audio when used on a different PC.

Can anyone suggest what to check next?  Thank you.

I have the same problem since upgrading to Windows 10.

There were no HDCP complaints with Windows 7 - though since there were none, I did not check what the Nvidia Driver said about it.
