HP ENVY X360 - 15-dr0013nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Envy x360 keeps switching from Realtek Audio to USB Audio. This has been an issue since I purchased this machine in October. The speakers do work, but I have to reset them on a regular basis--often several times per day.

@CB278 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that audio settings do not hold.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please uninstall the audio drivers from the device manager and install the drivers and update the BIOS.

If the issue still persists, please check for the windows update.

Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

I had contacted the support line and they walked me through the first step.  It did not resolve the issue, although when the wrong audio device is being used, it does now allow me to select another device from the taskbar.  I did install the new Windows version as you suggested, but it still does not hold the selected audio settings.
