HP Headphone Jack not allowing plug in all the way

HP Recommended
HP Spectre
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The bevel on the side of the Spectre notebook doesn't allow the headphone plug to go in all the way, unless pushed manually pretty hard, and then keeps popping out.... frustrating issue.  I have a Bose headphone set, which works in every other digital unit I own, but this laptop seems to not want to take the jack - shold I shave the plastic nub on the headphone plug to make it smaller?  Or return the laptop?

@Duckstab12 I understand your concern and I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.
