HP Notebook - 15-dw0083wm
Microsoft Windows 11

Purchased HP Laptop 15-dw0xxx a year ago and since the warranty expired. Seemly HP technician will not help. It's now 6pm spent all morning between google searches, virtual agent & technician just to still have no sound. So, I look on here and the options are pay to get audio or wipe my laptop clean. I had an Acer & Lenovo, and the tech would just connect & fix the issue. I switch to HP hoping I was upgrading. I have lost faith in this company. Beyond frustrated...

(1) Update BIOS

HP Notebook System BIOS Update (Intel Processors)

( Download and doubleclick the file to execute the setup process )

 

(2) Update audio (try both)

Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver - Comet Lake

or

Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver - Gemini Lake Refresh
