HP Laptop IDT Beats Audio slider not working

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion dv6-6b60ea
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi, this is not a question but rather a solution to a frustrating problem I'm sure many of us have experienced.

Problem:

The Beats Audio enhancement sliders (This applies to Dolby and SRS too) don't work. You try to change them to a value, or max them out, turn them off or anything else but there is no noticeable change in the sound experience.

Solution:

The appropriate driver for your sound chip is not installed. Let me tell you all a little secret about IDT drivers. There are not the same/generic.
While Realtek HD Audio drivers is just a simple package that gets updated regularly for all sound chips, IDT/HP develops drivers on a per-chip basis. In other words, to get your correct driver to have all the features working (Beats/SRS/Dolby sliders and switches while the EQ might work), you have to install the appropriate sub-driver.

For laptops/PCs originally equipped with Windows Vista/7 the latest IDT HD Audio driver would be: sp56996(https://whp-hou9.cold.extweb.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56996.exe) - (6.10.6393.0)
For laptops/PCs originally equipped with Windows 8.1+ the latest IDT HD Audio driver would be: sp65196(https://whp-hou9.cold.extweb.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp65001-65500/sp65196.exe) - (6.10.6498)

Business laptops (Probooks): sp65631 (ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp65501-66000/sp65631.exe)- (6.10.6499)

IDT generally follows the driver updates under the following format:
6.10.63xx-for 2008+ laptops
6.10.64xx-for 2012+ laptops
6.10.65xx-for 2015+ laptops
where higher xx denotes a newer release for that sound chip.
While you can install IDT drivers from newer versions, you will miss out on some aforementioned features. This is due to poor support policies from IDT's side.

I've tested this theory myself on countless IDT drivers and I have to say it is 100% accurate.
