Hi,

When i click on a online radio station or Spotify the speakers are fine but when i plug the headset in i get nothing

I have done the audio test on start up pressing F2 and it tests fine

Also within control panel it tests ok but just doesn't work on applications or the web

I am sure its a simple setting

Thank you

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Did you make any changes on the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
  • When was the last time it worked fine?

Firstly, let's make sure the device is recognized by the computer:

  1. Connect the device to the computer.

  2. From the Start screen, type sound to open the Search charm, then select Sound from the search results.

    Figure : Sound search results

    Sound search results

    The Sound window opens.

  3. Click the Playback tab in the Sound window.

    Figure : Playback tab

    Playback tab
  4. Right-click an empty area of the Sound window.

  5. Click Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices.

Figure : Disabled and disconnected devices shown in the Playback tab

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
