The installation went well . And after that I installed my drivers

All except IDT High Definition Audio
I downloaded the driver from HP , but it didn't work .
I used vista driver from HP , but it didn't work.
I downloaded IDT XP driver 2007 and 2009 versions from Microsoft Update Catalogbut also didn't work
I used Device Manager>install from a specific location>Don't search>select hardware type :sound>Manufacturer
>IDT and also another time used Have Disk
but also did not work .
what should I do ?

I don't know of anyone who has been able to get the audio driver to work on XP on the g series notebooks.
Did you make sure to first install the msuaa driver before installing the audio driver?
I would be trying the XP audio driver from a business notebook that came out around the same time as your model...

Thanks a lot for replying quickly
I'm running Windows XP SP3 wich already has MS UAA 1.0a , but I will download it from the link you posted
I have a 512 kbps internet connection so please bear with me .
I will download , install and see if things work

You're very welcome.
It is my understanding that it is easier to try and get the audio driver to work with XP SP2 and applying the msuaa driver before installing any audio driver.
You can also refer to this helpful XP downgrade guide at the link below for some other tips.
Read the audio section under Difficult Models.

I have downloaded the MS UAA and installed it.
After that I downloaded the 2013 IDT Audio driver from the link you provided , tried to install it
but it refused and aborted in the middle.
I wish I was able to install it . Windows XP is fast and stable on this model compared to Windows 7.
Anyway thanks again

Sorry that nothing is working for you.
I am not surprised however, as you are one of about 20 folks who have gotten nowhere with that IDT audio driver on a g6 notebook.
If you keep at it, and if you ever figure out a solution, please let us know what it was.

For the record only , the IDT Audio Driver which I downloaded from the link you provided , failed to install
in Windows 7 . It says that this hardware is not compatible .
And the Realtek Card Reader driver from a user post that has my same HP model did not work either

You're confusing me...I thought we were discussing installing XP...
You have now installed Windows 7?
Because if you did, there is a comparable g6 model with W7 x64 drivers, and the ones I posted for you were only a guess that it might work on XP.
Every W7 x64 driver from this model should work on yours. Your model uses the Intel HD graphics driver.
DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE FILES FROM THIS MODEL

Thanks again for replying .
Of course I was talking about Windows XP . I tried to install Windows 7 32-bit after I failed to install the IDT
Audio Driver in Windows XP .
Could you please post links to the following drivers for Windows 7 32-bit :
1- IDT Audio Driver
2- Realtek Card Reader
3-Bluetooth Driver (Is it Ralink , Intel , Atheros or Broadcom)
Again thanks a lot

I have no idea where to find any IDT 32 bit audio driver that will work in your PC.
Did you try the W7 64 bit driver? Some of them say 64 bit, but they also have the 32 bit install files too.
Card reader: First one on the list...
I can't help you with the BT driver unless I know what model wireless card your notebook is using.
