HP Spectre x360 15"
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My right speaker does not sound good. It is suddenly very grainy and doesn't play sound well.

I have taken the following steps for this issue:

1. I ran the HP support assistant and downloaded all drivers. I ran an audio diagnostic that came back clean through this application as well.

2. I rebooted and pressed ESC repeatedly, then ran an audio playback test of the hardware. For that, I received the following failure ID: 9GD6LW-8MDAAL-MFPURG-218V03

Does this signify that I need to replace the speaker? If so, is this the right component piece for my machine? https://www.ebay.com/itm/913008-001-HP-Speaker-Right/133528153081?hash=item1f16e5ebf9:g:lmkAAOSwcVZf...

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I checked the failure ID you have shared, and it is showing an audio channel failure.

I recommend you contact support and they will assist you with the available service options for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
