Spectre X360 13-ae0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have no audio coming from internal speakers after  Windows 10 20H2 upgrade. The built-in microphone does not work either.

Headphone jack works fine.

My laptop is Spectre X360 13-ae0xx and speakers worked perfectly fine with Windows 1909.

What I tried already:

  • Update audio drivers in Device Manager.
  • Remove Realtek HD audio in Device Manager Including drivers.
  • Install latest drivers through Windows update.
  • Install Realtek drivers from HP website (SP10386)

None if this brings the sound back.

I also performed component test (before loading windows and speakers work fine).

I also rolled Windows back to 1909 and speakers work fine in Win 1909.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thank you

after nearly 3 weeks I finally worked out the culprit is the Bang & Olufsen audio control

Purely by chance I enabled Mu.ltistreaming and sound is back.

I hope this helps someone
