HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought this computer in 2018

It's been a whole year since neither my microphone and speaker stopped working. I uninstalled and reinstalled all the sound drivers but nothing seemed to work. I contacted HP support for the sound problem and I agreed to redownload the Windows 10 Os. This did not work either. My last resort is that it may be a problem with the soundboard.

I have been using a Bluetooth speaker for my conference calls until now.

Since 3 days ago my speaker started making a howling/screeching sound. My microphone started amplifying all the background noises; this added by the screeching sound was so loud I had to mute my computer at all times.

Did anyone else have a problem with the soundboard or have howling problems?

I don't know what else I can do. Please give me some recommendations.

Hello,

I had my audio driver updated to the most recent version.

With time the howling sound has stopped but I continue to hear nothing over the speaker and the microphone as before.

The HP center agent in Korea said it might be a soundboard problem.

If it is a soundboard problem, Is there any way I can purchase a soundboard so I can replace mine with a new one?
