The speakers stopped working on my computer. Headphones still work and I can plug in speakers. The speakers still play the media I want but quietly, on top of that is a VERY loud staticy and electrnic whistle noise. It is quite variable. It sounds liek it is only coming from the right speaker. The left speaker is silent. The compuer usually mutes this after a few seconds, then it comes back on again. It is unusable. I have tried uninstalling drivers and reinstalling them. I did a stystem refesh (kept data but reinstalled windows). I'm kind of out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

@crounds

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, this sounds like hardware related issue with the internal speaker. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
